Editorial & Corrections Policy

Source priority

1. Current official storefronts and developer or publisher channels.
2. The Fogpiercer Official Community Wiki for documented mechanics and current data.
3. Reputable reporting for context, never as a substitute for a current official listing.
4. Community discussion only as a lead for questions to verify.

Writing rules

• Answer the search question before background.
• Use absolute dates and name the platform.
• Label incomplete wiki data instead of filling gaps.
• Never convert PC Game Pass into an Xbox console claim.
• Never market the premium game as free, browser-based, or “no download.”
• Do not call editorial synthesis hands-on testing.

Claim statuses

Fogline only permits OFFICIAL_VERIFIED, GAMEPLAY_VERIFIED, PLAYER_INPUT, RESEARCH_SIGNAL, UNKNOWN, STALE, and REJECTED. A source-backed fact is not relabeled as gameplay evidence.

Contact & corrections

Fogline currently publishes no inbox or form and accepts no personal information. A direct correction channel still needs owner verification. Until then, a correction record must contain the page URL, claim ID, disputed sentence, verification date, and a current primary source.

Image and trademark policy

Official Steam screenshots are used with a visible source credit. Fogline uses its own name and visual system, and states clearly that it is not affiliated with Mad Cookies Studio or Hooded Horse.

Update policy

A material change should update the visible answer, metadata, FAQ, structured data, relevant internal links, source ledger, and verification date together.
